Tamiflu – most prescribed drug for influenza treatment
For the treatment of influenza or swine flu, Tamiflu oseltamivir must be taken within 2 days of experiencing the flu symptoms. Tamiflu dosage must be taken continuously for a period of 5 days. The influenza treatment medication helps to reduce the intensity of the flu symptoms and also reduces the span of the disease. Tamiflu oseltamivir may also be taken as a preventive medicine if a person has been exposed to the influenza or the swine flu virus. When taken as a preventive measure, Tamiflu is usually recommended for a period of 6 weeks.
